2013-04-29 – Catholic Health Partners Names Deborah Bloomfield CFO
Deborah Bloomfield will become chief financial officer (CFO) at Catholic Health Partners on Oct. 1. Bloomfield, now CFO of central markets for Catholic Health Partners, will succeed James Gravell who is retiring at year’s end.
“Deborah Bloomfield’s leadership skills, finance expertise and experience make her an outstanding choice for CFO,” said Michael Connelly, CHP’s president and CEO. “Deborah has 20 years’ experience in a variety of finance leadership roles at the system level and in CHP’s markets.”
A graduate of Xavier University, Bloomfield worked at Ernst & Young before joining CHP in 1992. She has experience in CHP’s accounting, treasury and finance leadership areas and also has had opportunities to lead laboratory, pharmacy and supply chain. She holds a PhD and is a CPA.
Bloomfield has served as the CFO for Mercy Health, CHP’s southwest Ohio market, providing leadership for financial operations, revenue cycle, operational and capital planning, the HealthPlex service line and the real estate/property management department. Currently, she provides financial leadership for CHP’s central markets, supporting Executive Vice President Jim May and market CFOs in Cincinnati, Springfield, and Lima, Ohio, and in Paducah, Kentucky.
“We are pleased that CHP’s deep talent bench strength made it possible to promote from within,” Connelly said. “This will allow for a seamless transition this fall, with Debbie well positioned to lead CHP’s finance team as we continue our journey to value based health delivery.”
