Description: The University Of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks to implement a state of the art, fully integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) system that provides support for clinical and financial and research activities of the institution. In its current environment, MD Anderson has a variety of legacy “best of breed” applications that support the institutions activities. These include Siemens INVISION (provides Patient Management, Resource Scheduling and Hospital Billing), IDX (Professional Billing), GE Centricity Pharmacy, Cerner Pathnet, Siemens Syngo RIS, an internally developed EMR (ClinicStation), MosaiQ (Radiation Oncology) and a host of systems supporting ancillary departments and services. The current environment requires extensive integration of these systems, utilizing data with the Lawson Cloverleaf Integration Engine. This integration is achieved through HL7, web services and stored procedures. The number of interfaces to and from these systems is extensive.
