MEDITECH: Lake Regional Unites Ambulatory, Home Care, and Acute with 6.1 EHR

Voted Most Wired 2015, Lake Regional Health System (Osage Beach, MO), recently made the decision to implement MEDITECH’s 6.1 EHR, which includes the Web Ambulatory, Home Care, and Business and Clinical Analytics solutions.

“We want our patients to tell their story once, in a single patient record. We can achieve this seamlessly with MEDITECH’s 6.1 EHR because the ambulatory and acute data is on a single integrated platform,” said Scott Poest, CIO. “Our physicians are very excited about the Web Ambulatory EHR. It’s completely designed by MEDITECH from the ground up — by physicians, for physicians.”

This year, Lake Regional also earned Patient-Centered Medical Home designation for all seven of their primary care clinics from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. By implementing preventative care and actively managing chronic conditions, their organization is working to help keep their community healthy.

In addition to their primary care clinics, the health system also includes a 116-bed hospital, 18 specialty clinics, two urgent care clinics, home health services, and an emergency department that is a state-designated Level III Trauma Center, which handles nearly 35,000 visits annually.

“We’ve been with MEDITECH for over 20 years and they’ve been a really good partner,” said Scott Poest. “We performed the research, and we know the MEDITECH 6.1 EHR is the most cost effective solution for a fully integrated system across the entire delivery network.”

Lake Regional Health System is a three-time recipient of the Missouri Quality Award and recently joined the Missouri Health Connection network, which allows their organization to coordinate care with providers across the state.
