Partnering with 41 Charity Programs, Definitive Healthcare Continues its Tradition of Giving Back to the Community
FRAMINGHAM, MA – January 20, 2020 – In 2019, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Definitive Healthcare employees, and through their partnerships with the local community, 41 local and national charities received donations totaling $333,054 in 2019 – a combination of $193,500 in financial donations and $139,554 in man-hours.
The DefinitiveCares program – established in 2015 and run by Definitive Healthcare with the mission of giving back to the community through volunteer initiatives – has focused on providing assistance to the community through both commitments of time and effort, as well as financial contributions. These efforts help to foster a more supportive and generous environment both throughout Definitive Healthcare and the community at large. In 2017, 2018, and 2019, an incredible 100% of Definitive Healthcare employees participated in this program. And, in 2019 alone, DefinitiveCares participants donated 3,404 working man hours and supported 151 events – nearly three a week.
“I continue to be amazed by the energy and level of engagement put forth in our community efforts through DefinitiveCares,” said Jason Krantz, CEO of Definitive Healthcare. “I am incredibly proud of the 25 DefinitiveCares ambassadors who helped plan 151 volunteer events for all 400 Definitive Healthcare employees this year. I’m often asked how Definitive Healthcare repeatedly wins 'Best Places to Work' awards, and the answer is every employee here who contributes their time and creativity to make a real impact outside of these four walls.”
In 2019 alone, DefinitiveCares raised nearly $130,000 to support cancer research at its fourth annual Jimmy Fund golf tournament. In terms of financial contributions, the company also donated $63,500 through fundraisers and efforts with the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Habitat for Humanity, and Reach Out & Read. Employees also contributed to several charity drives that resulted in donations to 298 individuals directly, through Definitive Healthcare’s Holiday Drive, Back to School Drive, Mother’s Day Drive, as well as the Southern Middlesex Opportunity Council for their holiday celebration.
This year, DefinitiveCares also sponsored six gala fundraising events for Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Learning Center for the Deaf, the Epiphany School, Charles River Center, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, and the Crossroad School’s annual golf tournament.
With Definitive Healthcare’s acquisition of both HIMSS Analytics and PatientFinder in 2019, DefinitiveCares is beginning to expand into new U.S. states like Illinois, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Florida — and will be focused on providing more opportunities outside of Massachusetts in 2020.
