Framingham, MA (February 21, 2017) – Definitive Healthcare, the leading provider of data, intelligence, and analytics on the healthcare provider market, integrated full-year ICD-10 claims analytics for 2016—the most recent data available—into its product. The ICD-10 coding system is more comprehensive than its predecessor ICD-9, allowing providers to report diagnoses and procedures in greater detail and enabling clients to gain greater insights regarding patient care.
Definitive Healthcare also added two new visual dashboards to its Hospitals database: the Financial Comparisons Overview and Quality Performance Overview. The Financial Comparisons Overview uses interactive tables and charts to display financial information for individual hospitals. Both financial metrics and financial ratios can be examined with the new visual dashboard, improving client ability to compare financial performance between facilities.
The Quality Performance Overview uses interactive maps, charts, and tables to visually display the universe of hospitals participating in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) quality programs. The dashboard can be used to illustrate data at the hospital level for the Value Based Purchasing (VBP), Readmission Rate Reduction, and Hospital-Acquired Condition (HAC) programs, or as an overview for all three.
“Clients now have the ability to leverage four distinct visual dashboards to analyze data across the healthcare supply chain,” said Catherine Niech, Director of Product Development at Definitive Healthcare. “The product development team has been working hard to bring this data to life for our clients. These new dashboards will facilitate the fast and accurate evaluation of information from hospitals and the healthcare market as a whole.”
Definitive Healthcare’s newest product update also includes the addition of Accountable Care Organization (ACO) financial and quality data, Comprehensive Joint Replacement (CJR) payment information, physician group technology data, and more.
“The addition of so much financial and quality data for facilities throughout the healthcare space will allow clients to target their business efforts more accurately and understand their own customers,” said John Macek, Vice President of Product Development at Definitive Healthcare. “Clients now have access to the most up-to-date, comprehensive data available on diagnoses and procedures, payments, technologies, and more. We will continue to integrate the most recent possible data into our database to empower our clients to achieve their goals.”
