The Alaska hospital with the highest net patient revenue is Providence Alaska Medical Center, with an NPR of $741 million. It is part of the Providence Health & Services IDN along with five other hospitals in Alaska, including the #10 hospital on the list above, Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. The Providence Alaska Medical Center is located in Anchorage along with eight other hospitals, making Anchorage the Alaska town with the greatest number of hospitals. The Providence Alaska Medical Center is also the largest hospital in Alaska by bed count, with 401 staffed beds. U.S. News & World Report named Providence Alaska Medical Center as the best hospital in Anchorage, and it is rated as high-performing in seven procedures and conditions. The Providence Alaska Medical Center is also the only hospital in Alaska to be designated as a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence.

The hospital with the second highest NPR in Alaska is Alaska Regional Hospital, with an NPR of $355 million. This hospital’s NPR is less than half that of the top hospital in Alaska. Mat-Su Regional Medical Center has the third-highest net patient revenue in Alaska, with an NPR of $301 million. The hospital is owned by Community Health Systems. Mat-Su Regional Medical Center is the third highest performing hospital in Alaska despite having been around for less than 20 years.
