St. Charles Eyes Cost Cutting in Wake of Deteriorating Finances
According to The Bulletin, St. Charles Health System is looking at ways to cut costs and increase efficiencies after the system’s finances have deteriorated since fall 2016. Operating margins for St. Charles have fallen to a razor-thin 0.3 percent, or about $845,000, through the first four months of 2017, St. Charles is considering staff reductions through attrition and changes in its capital spending projects in order to save money.
