Earns Boston Business Journal’s Corporate Citizenship Award for Second Consecutive Year

FRAMINGHAM, MA – July 27, 2020 – Definitive Healthcare, the leading provider of data, intelligence, and analytics on the healthcare provider market, today was named an honoree in the Boston Business Journal’s annual 2020 Corporate Citizenship Awards – a recognition of the region’s top corporate charitable contributors – for the second year in a row.

I continue to be amazed by the energy and level of engagement put forth in our community efforts through our DefinitiveCares initiative – and it is truly an honor to be named a top charitable company for the second year in a row,” said Jason Krantz, CEO of Definitive Healthcare. “I am particularly proud of the 25 DefinitiveCares ambassadors who helped plan 151 volunteer events for our 400+ employees in 2019. This community effort has become such an important part of who we are as a company and is something I always reference when asked how Definitive Healthcare repeatedly wins ‘Best Places to Work’ awards.

Definitive Healthcare’s employee run charity program, DefinitiveCares, was established in 2015 with the mission of giving back to the community through volunteer initiatives, commitments of time and effort, and financial contributions. For the past three years, 100% of Definitive Healthcare employees have participated in this program.

In 2019, Definitive Healthcare employees donated 3,404 working man hours and supported 151 events – nearly three a week. DefinitiveCares also partnered with 41 local and national charities and contributed a total of $187,211 to charities like the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Habitat for Humanity, Reach Out & Read, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Learning Center for the Deaf, the Epiphany School, Charles River Center, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, The Jimmy Fund, and The Crossroad School.

During a year filled with unprecedented events and change, it’s incredible to think that the Boston Business Journal’s Corporate Charitable Contributors list is the largest we have ever compiled. These companies give back at least $100,000 to the local community, and now we are in a time when giving back and helping one another is more important than ever,” said Boston Business Journal Market President and Publisher Carolyn Jones. “These philanthropic companies prioritize the welfare of our communities, and we are excited to be able to honor them.”

Definitive Healthcare, among other top corporate contributors, will be honored at the BBJ’s 15th Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards on September 10, a celebration of honorees that will be virtual to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

As Definitive Healthcare continues to grow, we look forward to further increasing our charitable donations and retaining our vibrant company culture through acts of service. Already this year, I’ve seen more than 110 employees step up to donate in this time of crisis, with financial donations totaling $306,000 to support a host of youth and education programs, civil rights and racial justice causes, as well as a mix of charities targeting food and hunger, healthcare, shelter and homeless and LGBTQ efforts,” continued Krantz.
