The Tennessee hospital with the highest net patient revenue is Vanderbilt University Medical Center. With an NPR of $5.4 billion, it ranks among the top 10 hospitals in the U.S. by NPR. It is part of the Vanderbilt Health IDN (formally known as Vanderbilt University Medical Center System) and includes seven hospitals and more than 200 clinics across the region.

The NPR of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center is exponentially higher than the second-place hospital (almost by $4 billion) despite having a similar number of beds. This high NPR also comes with several distinctions, including ranking as the #1 hospital in Tennessee and in the Southeast (among children’s hospitals) by U.S. News & World Report. Vanderbilt University Medical Center is also on the honor roll list of best hospitals in the USA and is nationally ranked in nine adult specialties and 10 children’s specialties.
