Top 20 remote patient monitoring related diagnoses

The use of remote patient monitoring (RPM) has increased throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and as patients across the United States track their chronic health conditions.

What is remote patient monitoring?

Remote patient monitoring systems capture patient physiological data through technologies such as wireless scales, pulse oximeters and continuous glucose monitors, to record vital signs and alert caregivers to concerning changes.

Analysis of data from the Definitive Healthcare ClaimsMx product traces diagnosis codes for RPM related procedures captured over the last two years. The table below lists the ICD-10 diagnosis codes with the highest number of RPM patients in 2021.
