Mountain News is reporting that Mountains Community Hospital (MCH) had its property tax assessment bill approved by 92.33 percent of voters. Preliminary results of the Measure D election indicate that 3,456 ballots were cast in favor of the measure. The tax raises $2.7 million every year for the hospital. The rest of the funding for MCH comes from patient revenue and from the fundraising efforts of the MCH Foundation.
