Top 10 U.S. physician groups by lymphoma and leukemia diagnoses

Lymphoma and leukemia are two types of blood cancers that affect many parts of the body. While the two cancers share similar symptoms, they differ in their origins and diagnoses. In 2022, an estimated 89,010 new cases of lymphoma and 60,650 new cases of leukemia will be diagnosed in the U.S.

Using data from the Definitive Healthcare ClaimsMx product, we analyzed physician groups by their total number of primary lymphoma and leukemia disease diagnoses. Patients visit multiple specialists during cancer treatment. Each encounter with a healthcare provider includes the patient’s diagnosis on the healthcare insurance claim, which results in the number of primary diagnosis claims to be greater than the number of patients living with or newly diagnosed with cancer.

The following list shows physician groups in order of primary leukemia and lymphoma diagnoses for 2021.
